The Sella 3L Powertex Responsive Pant is a hardwearing winter shell pant designed for alpine adventures.
Durable weather protection
Its innovative 3-layer Powertex Responsive laminate shell fabric is extremely abrasion resistant. It offers good breathability and high waterproofing. The main fabric has a water column of 15,000 millimetres. This is reinforced with a heavier weight (20,000 mm) waterproof fabric at the knees, seat and interior waistband. There are welded seams throughout. Both fabrics have a durable water repellent (DWR) finish that is completely PFC free. We give our Powertex Responsive textiles a unique mineral coating applied as a permanent fabric print to the inside of the fabric. It absorbs energy from your body and then releases it back into your muscle tissue over time – including though your full winter layers.
Ergonomic, freedom of movement
The Sella 3-layer Powertex Responsive Pant has venting zips on the upper thighs that work well under a harness. The ergonomic waist is fully adjustable and the free-motion fit is further supported by stretch inserts. At the leg end, the zip opens up fully to ensure a precise fit over ski boots or mountain boots, while the neat design also ensures your pants keep out of the way of your crampons. There is still a reinforced kick patch and full edge protection though. There are large waterproof cargo pockets and two further secure pockets with waterproof zips to keep contents dry.
